The Uniroyal tyre brand in Europe has been part of Continental AG since 1979.
From a mere factory of rubber by-products founded by Mr. Englebert more than 130 years ago, Uniroyal has become a world-class tyre manufacturer.
1958: Englebert merged with an American partner into Uniroyal Englebert Deutschland AG.
The "rain tyre" concept was introduced in 1969.
