Korean tyre manufacturer Hankook and Europe’s leading truck trailer manufacturer Schmitz Cargobull AG have recently announced they are extending their strategic cooperation on an international level.
Under the terms of this long term agreement, Hankook will deliver its long distance e-cube /e-cube MAXseries and its SmartWork series for construction businesses as original fitment tyres to Cargobull, covering nine different sizes including the new mega-trailer size 455/40R22.5.
Whether it is their lower rolling resistance (e-cube/e-cube MAX) or higher resistance to damage, according to the tyre manufacturer, Hankook tyres must reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) by reducing operating costs.
For Ho-Youl Pae, Managing Director of Hankook Tire Europe,
“In addition to the use of our modern truck tyres by globally leading truck manufacturers as original equipment, the expansion of our cooperation with Schmitz Cargobull AG is further proof of the recognition of our high product quality and innovative strength. It will give us a further boost for the expansion of our pan-European activities in this segment.”
