Korean tyre manufacturer Hankook is thriving. Indeed, before the spring, Hankook is set to become OEM supplier for German truck manufacturer Man for four of its tractor ranges, including its long haul trucks which will be equipped with tyres from the e-cube MAX range.
“We are looking forward to our future cooperation with MAN and are proud that our ranges (...) fulfil the demanding requirements of MAN engineers, particularly with regards performance, efficiency and sustainability" confirmed Ho-Youl Pae, Head of Hankook Tire Europe.
Available for all types of axle, Hankook’s e-cube MAX range is specially designed to improve the profitability of long distance transport. Besides the chemistry of its tread which combines high molecular weight rubbers with long chain molecules, the e-cube MAX generates less heat during use which in turn improves efficiency. In other words, fuel consumption is lower.
Still with the aim of providing maximum economy, the tread design has been designed to prevent irregular wear. According to Hankook, these innovations are not at the expense of the tyre’s service life or its overall performance.
As part of its growth strategy for the European market where it currently distributes more than 30% of its annual production (tyre manufacturer source), Hankook has announced an original equipment agreement with Mercedes-Benz for the Atego regional distribution range. “This is further proof of the acknowledgement of our high product quality and innovative strength”.
