A well-balanced all season tyre

A tyre that delivers balanced summer and winter performance with best in class rolling resistance, this is how Continental describes its new all season tyre: the AllSeasonContact.

For winter driving, the AllSeasonContact uses an adaptive compound with a high silica fill rate and Winter Performance Resins to adjust to low temperatures. Continental also promises impressive grip on snow-covered and wet roads. Like it’s rivals, the Michelin CrossClimate and Goodyear Vector 4Seasons, the AllSeasonContact carries both the 3PMSF and M+S markings, meaning it meets the standards of dedicated winter tyres.

For the summer season, the open shoulder area allows the AllSeasonContact to maintain grip and quickly disperse water for high aquaplaning resistance. The stiff tread pattern, with a minimum number of sipes, ensures a more precise steering response and shorter braking distances on dry summer roads. Continental has also managed to lower the tyre’s rolling resistance without compromising on safety, thanks to an optimised design and sidewall geometry

All this shows on the AllSeasonContact’s European tyre label ratings. Taking size 205/55 R16 94V as an example, the AllSeasonContact achieves a B-rating for rolling resistance, making it one of the highest rated all season tyres for this category. The tyre also achieves a B-rating for wet grip in all available sizes.

The AllSeasonContact will be available soon in 30 sizes for 14-18 inch rims.
